Manually installing add-ons is necessary in cases where add-ons aren't properly installing using the built-in RapidWeaver installer. In addition, you may be upgrading from a previous version of RapidWeaver and need to copy of your existing add-ons

Manually Installing 3rd-Party Add-ons in RapidWeaver 7

First, we need to open the folder where RapidWeaver stores add-ons such as themes, plugins, and any other add-ons you may own.

  • Open RapidWeaver and press the following keys on your keyboard; Command + Option + 7
  • You can also navigate to Go > Go to folder... and paste the following path:

~/Library/Containers/com.realmacsoftware.rapidweaver/Data/Library/Application Support/RapidWeaver

  • You can drag/drop your add-ons to this folder. If they're themes, be sure to drag them to the "Themes" folder, etc.

Copying Add-ons from RapidWeaver 5:

  • Go to Finder and select Go > Go to folder... in the menu bar.
  • Copy/paste the following line into the input area:

~/Library/Application Support/RapidWeaver/

  • Copy your add-ons and paste them into the RapidWeaver 7 add-ons folder
  • Restart RapidWeaver and your add-ons should appearĀ 

Copying Add-ons from RapidWeaver 6:

  • Go to Finder and select Go > Go to folder... in the menu bar.
  • Copy/paste the following line into the input area:

~/Library/Containers/com.realmacsoftware.rapidweaver6/Data/Library/Application Support/RapidWeaver

  • Copy your add-ons and paste them into the RapidWeaver 7 add-ons folder
  • Restart RapidWeaver and your add-ons should appearĀ
