Moving RapidWeaver (and your projects) and addons can be easily done by following these instructions:

1. On your NEW computer: download and install RapidWeaver 7.x from our Release Notes page. Open and run RapidWeaver and register it with your registration code. Once you're all set up, quit RapidWeaver.

2. On your old computer: Open your sites and make sure all the plugins/stacks are up to date. Make sure all your site files have been saved and then quit RapidWeaver.

3. Collect all your into a folder and compress (zip) it.

Now you can copy that compressed folder to your new computer. You can use a USB stick, Cloud service, Airdrop or whatever to do that. Decompress your folder and organize them as you'd like on your new installation.

4. Open RapidWeaver on your old installation (and close any open project that automatically opens). To move your Addons/Plugins folder: You actually have 2 choices here:

A. Use RapidWeaver's User Selectable Addons Folder feature and COPY your entire collection to an external drive (if both computers use it) or to a Cloud storage choice of your own choice (iCloud, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.).

Then, when you fire up your new installation you'll go to the same preference panel and choose the same folder. And you're good to go.

B. Move your Addons folder manually. The default location for Addons in RW7 is:

~/Library/Containers/com.realmacsoftware.rapidweaver/Data/Library/Application Support/RapidWeaver

Like you did with your sitefiles folder, compress that folder and copy it to your new computer. Once decompressed on that machine, replace the old folder with that new one.

Quit RapidWeaver and open it again and click Manage Addons in your RapidWeaver menu bar and make sure they're all there.
